Yes yes, I read the sticky. I did not see if united would honor the following UA benifit:

"Also, when you buy a full fare economy electronic ticket (select Y or B class*) for travel within the United States, Canada, Hawaii, Caribbean or Central America (Region 1), you may upgrade one (1) class of service, free of charge without using miles, certificates or money. Your upgrades are subject to availability and processed based on your elite status. See the chart below. If traveling with a companion on the same reservation and itinerary, the companion will clear based on your status."

for US Air holders. Does anyone know?

OK, I'll bite.

SLotFW would you be so kind as to clarify what your question is?

Does UA give the confirmed upgrade quoted above (not free/cost at gate upgrade) to US Air status holders?

Ehe, I think I should have picked a different handle/name. A few FT people take it as a support of Bush and have very negative emotially charged responses to me. I think I am the most hated newbie on the board :D . When I picked it I just thought it was funny...ahh well

Your handle also makes the whole board goes into widescreen (not your fault, stupid software's fault). But I do not believe UA gives that benefit to US status holders.

Don't feel badly, I picked a really stupid handle too and I now I feel like it's too late to change it, even though the longer I wait the stupider it gets!

Yes I know

The answer is NO

and btw - neither does US honor UA upgrades

and to upgrade on UA you will need a UA ugrade mechanism- 500 milers, CR1's or UA miles
