US Airways Dividend Miles (Pre-FlightFund Merger) - Bonus 6855 - how many still waiting?
I've seen threads popping up here about people misisng the bonus points for #6855 (the 20K bonus). I emailed once and got the standard reply "it will take 3-6 weeks". The second time I emailed, I got nothing (and that was 4 weeks ago). Today I called and the woman looked it up and said she'd have to forward my request to a supervisor. I asked how long it would be before I heard anything and she had no idea. She said "it depends how many she has to do".
This is sad. Really, truely sad. In the past, the agent would credit me on the spot for missing points. In the past, i would get timely replies and the right credits. Now my request goes into a black hole and who know if/when I'll hear back or even get the stinking 2000 points.
It reminds me of the Grisham novel "The Rainmaker" where the insurance company had a secret practice of denying all claims repeatedly, playing the odds that most people would stop asking.

This is typical of much of the way companies do business today. The Rainmaker may have been a work of fiction but the practice that you refer to is alive and well particularly in the travel industry.
Keep in mind that EVERY state has some type of enforcement vehicle for consumer fraud complaints. A letter to US Airways from one of those agencies inquiring about your complaint should pry your points out in a timely fashion. Many states allow you to file your complaint via the internet and fortunately for you their websites perform better than US's does. Resolving consumer complaints are these agencies reason to be and I have found them both responsive and helpful in the few instances I have felt compelled to use them.
AND there is always DOT
Airways IMO is counting on you giving up, DON'T

Still waiting here for 2K miles for my 6th roundtrip in 2005. Two email messages have gone unanswered...
I'd file a "complaint" as Piney suggests, but I got better things to do with my time (like flying and spending money with another airline).

While I am still waiting for 18K to post from the 20th Anniversary, I believe it is only for 5 RTs not 6. It was 2K, 3K, 4K, 5K, and 6K totalling 20K.

My 6th because I did one in 2004 & then five in 2005.
