Forgive my ignorance, but would someone please confirm whether I can book a reservation for someone else using FFN?

Thanks!

From the Ts and Cs:

"Faster Free Nights Award(s) can only be redeemed for stays between December 1, 2004 and April 30, 2005 and are not transferable. "

Thanks, SanDiego1K. That is what I assumed. My confusion arises from the online reservation process. When I book an FFN award online, the website appears to let me enter someone else's name instead of my own. I'm guessing that would create problems at check-in.

The only way around this is if you go check-in personally - obviously only works if its in your home city.

Book it for yourself, call Diamond line, get the name added to reservation. When the day arrives, call 1-800Checkin, and checkin under the added name.

don't want to get off-topic, but is 1800 checkin available for international hotels?

Nope - and there are a few domestic ones that don't participate either.
