Thai Airways Royal Orchid Plus - BKK Transit Question - SQ to BangkokAir and BangkokAir to TG

On May 3, I will be arriving on SQ64 from Singapore at 2:30pm. On a separate ticket, I will be connecting to BangkokAir PG942 to Siem Reap at 6:00pm.
On my return May 6, I arrive from Siem Reap on PG935 at 12:30pm and connect to TG630 to Hong Kong (again, on a separate ticket).
On both days, do I have to clear immigration, claim my bags from SQ and PG, then head to a separate Terminal to check in (and check in my bags) for my international departures? I really dont want to pay the international departure taxes just to make the transfers. Reading the other posts, PG appears to be located in the separate Domestic terminal and I dont know if PG interlines with SQ and TG??
Any suggestions? Is there an easier way to do this transfer????

I'm pretty sure that PG international flt both check in and lounge are located in terminal 2. It will be the same terminal w/SQ but not TG. As you know, BKK airport can easily walk from terminal1 and2 as it connected. But futher than that. I'm not so sure that you can get exempt on airport tax or not. Please call PG office and ask them. Sorry about that.

The interline shouldn't be any problem at all. Furthermore, given that REP isn't in Thailand, check-in for this flight would take place in the International terminal anyway. You will probably find yourself being bussed to & from the aircraft, but that's irrelevant.
On check-in at SIN, just show them the onward ticket. The transfer desk at BKK will then issue a BP and you'll be able to enjoy the PG lounge. Basic, but better than nothing I suppose.
PG will do the same on your return from REP.
The transfer ought to be as easy as they come.
Both destinations are international so you will be able to be in transit in the international terminal in BKK.
No airport tax to be paid in BKK, no immigration no customs.
Make sure you have your bags tagged to final destination at departure airport.

The Bangkok air flights normally go frm the gate area 77 I think and there is a LH lounge right next to it with showers in. I recall the UAL lounge is up with the Thai lounges and you will be better in them if you have to wait.
The luggage should be checked through all the way from initial check in so no need to depart the airport and you will stay in transit all the time.

I just took PG 935 last month connecting to a MH flight to KUL and was very easily able to interline baggage. As others have stated, simply show your ownward ticket at each point of check in and your bags will be sent to the appropriate carrier and flight. In each instance, you will be able to use the transfer desks and avoid customs and immigration in BKK. Very smooth and easy.

As others have noted above, there is no need to pass through BKK immigration/customs, pay airport tax, etc. You may want to check that your baggage has been transferred correctly with the transit desk agents in BKK.
As a UA 1K, you'll have access to the TG lounges, which are much nicer than the LH lounge. PG (Bangkok Air) also has a pretty decent lounge, with a runway view, that is open to all passengers (though most either don't know or don't care). But go to the TG lounge, and get a free 20 minute massage - it's a great way to relax between flights. The UA lounge is closed at the time you'll be transiting, IIRC.
Note that you'll have to pay the US$25 departure tax when you leave REP.
Enjoy your time at Angkor,
Michael

Based on everyone's responses, it appears that my BKK transfer should be easier than I originally thought. Again, many thanks.

What if this case is done on airline without an interline agreement? Eg. SIN BKK on AirAsia, then BKK HKG on CX?
Assuming I do not have checked baggage, can I check in for my CX flight in the transfer desk? Hence, avoiding the customs and immigration and the THB500 fee?

Yes.
The interline agreements only relate to the transfer of checked baggage. In the case of SQ and PG, you would still have to get your onward boarding pass in BKK. No different here.
Make sure you keep your Air Asia boarding pass. A lot of times, they will want to see it at the transfer desk to verify that you really are in transit.
