(You think I would tell you about this before I got mine?!) :D divaof travel Apr 1, 05, 5:55 pm Most of them have become effectively useless already. scoobaboy Apr 1, 05, 7:15 pm Just transfered my 155,990 AA miles to Hilton for over 300,00 points. Seems like a bargin now. Hope it goes through. Am now working on my 200,00+ Delta miles, any suggestions, What about my 100,000 + United any suggestions. No way to travel before April 15th rbAA Apr 1, 05, 7:17 pm I guess that means we don't have to do any more MR's. Djlawman Apr 1, 05, 7:18 pm This is the FIRST I have heard of this in APRIL. You would have to be a bunch of FOOLS not to burn up all your miles immediately, because of the imminent termination of all these FF programs. HURRY! Djlawman opus17 Apr 1, 05, 9:38 pm I used up all my miles by February 31. bursa Apr 2, 05, 2:28 pm Miles? What miles? I just transferred all of mine to Gary... :p grbflyer Apr 2, 05, 6:13 pm Read it once, then thought about it, read it again and saw the date it was posted. Good one. if it were real i would think that there would be media coverage. pgary Apr 3, 05, 2:55 pm Miles? What miles? I just transferred all of mine to Gary... :p Thanks. I think I will transfer them to Hilton points, then move into the local Hilton and live the life of luxury for the rest of my life. (Beats going to a nursery home, and its probably cheaper.) I love the bump Apr 3, 05, 5:42 pm ha, ha, ha, but you did freak me out for a sec.... pinniped Apr 3, 05, 6:48 pm Wow!! No more FFPs? This site will basically become all OMNI, all the time. :D Anyway, thanks for the heads-up. I just finished converting my remaining 2.3 million FF miles through Points.com to Priority Club. That generated just enough for 2 nights at the Holiday Inn in Overland Park. Sweet!! Hello Indoor Pool!!!! dhuey Apr 3, 05, 6:50 pm All mileage programs to be terminated? Hmmm. I have a few questions about this that I don't think have been covered before on FT: 1) Will airline employees have priority in getting upgrades over those using miles before April 31? 2) Is it okay for my wife and me to bring our young kids into F if we all get the upgrades? 3) What is the best way to pick up a FA? Is mentioning the termination of the mileage programs a good conversation starter? 4) Is the AmEx Centurion still a good deal without the miles, and how do I get offered that card? 5) Does this mean we no longer have to tip hotel maids? chentaiman Apr 4, 05, 2:29 am Very funny. April 31 and Feb 31????? pinniped Apr 4, 05, 9:14 am April 31 and Feb 31????? Remember that those are the best two dates on which to redeem CO awards. When in doubt, ask 'em for a Feb 31 departure and a 12th of Never return. Marathon Man Apr 4, 05, 9:43 am THIS would be one way to get the Marathon Man to shut up. (I'd still write long letters to someone about it though!) ;) janhigginskcmo Apr 4, 05, 11:38 am :D Hee hee |
