Other North & South America Frequent Flyer Programs - Varig economy seating

Anyone able to tell me how Varig 777 seating in economy is like.
I normally fly UA Economy Plus, am wondering if anyone can share any info.
I will be flying out of Rio to JFK on 6/30.
Any advice/comments will be appreciated.
