I've been M-F out of town for 8 months now...as a married guy with two handsome little boys, it's tough, but the upside is, I have an extra 2-3 hours a day when work is done, because my commute is 5 min instead of 45, dinner is usually a Powerbar, and there's no "Family time" after work.

Anyone pick up new hobbies on the road? When you get home, do you keep at it?

I've taken up Yoga and am looking at rock climbing. I've learned celestial navigation (sextant, star tables, and clock...500-year old GPS). I've taken cooking classes at HEB Central Market.

Well, if ya drink and ya like to run there's always the Hash House Harriers! We're a "drinking club with a running problem." It's based on the old English game of Hares & Hounds. One person sets a trail and the pack chases him/her down. Along the way a few beers are consumed and more consumed afterwards. Typical runs are 3-6 miles total (not all at once).

It's a ton of fun and there are clubs ALL OVER THE WORLD!!! In fact, I know of at least three people at NWA who hash.

For more info check out this website:

Just tell 'em I sent ya!

Sounds fun - is there anything like that in Continental Europe or Germany ?
I consider myself a great runner and drinker - that sport is for me !!!

Many thanks
