InterContinental Hotels: Priority Club & Inter-Continental Ambassador - can an amb. use 2 free night certs in one year?

ok - the cert i have for the free second night expires in dec 2005 (i thought it was june woohoo!)

so if i have 2 of them -- can i use one in paris and then one in amsterdam in 2 weekends?

i have used one for every weekend stay i have had in an IC this year

In the past there have been many promotions which allowed AMBASSADORs/RAs [and before that SixContinentsClub members] to earn additional weekend certificates, so I would suppose the answer is "No". If you can get a second or third or fourth...and are an AMBASSADOR or RA, then there has never been a penalty for their use. Remember, the member has paid $100 or $150 for the "free" night certificate, so IC has received payment for the night and should not object to the use of the certificate by an eligible guest.

As a result of these promotions, I have had some years where I made three stays using certificates with no problem. In the past, however, there was no code number, but one's name did appear on the certificate. But how IC actually monitors these is an open question. Is it worth the audit expense to closely monitor their use?

IC sent me more than one this year, why wouldn't I be able to use them?

thanks everyone - im gonna get a second and stay in the amstel i think - sure blow my whole budget but oh what the heck!
