(sorry for the simple question, but I have a brain lock)
I have a flight coming up from SIN-AKL on SQ in Y which is part of a RTW I started last year. If I were to credit the points to NZ what would I earn? Old status credits? If so how are they converted? Or miles? That would actually work out very well points-wise, and certainly better than both the old SCs and the new airbucks.

Thanks for your help :)

On a ticket that spanned the changeover I earned old airpoints divided by 75, even for segments post 16 Nov 04.

Thanks for that. So if the mileage to SIN is 6,000 (or whatever it is), then that would mean around 9,500 airpoints / 75 = around 120 airpoints? That's pretty good and much better than the old status credits which to SIN (as it was just under a certain cut-off point) was very low. Now of course the airpoints count towards status.

All Flights in Singapore Air Economy are trasnferred as discount economy and not full economy. So 9500 * .75 /75 = 95 air bucks.

I am surprised that bit of news got the thumbs up!

Disc economy under old airpoints was 0.7 not 0.75

Still considerably more than the paltry 60 airbucks you'd earn under the new rules

On the topic of requalification, my account shows:

Current Tier Status SILVER

To retain Silver status, you only need to earn 405.00 qualifying Airpoints Dollars by 30 Nov 2005.

To reach Gold Status, you need to earn 558.61 qualifying Airpoints Dollars as of
How is that possible?

I am guessing its because of rolling 12-month period to qualify for higher status, whereas to retain current status the period will be the membership year.
