Can I get miles for actually going into an H&R Block office? I think I have read you can get it from going through their web site, but Im looking for an in-person mileage opportunity.

You can if you really want, at least with United. They'll be the most expensive miles you'll ever buy however. Last year, it cost us over $400 (the cost difference between H&RB and a real CPA) for those 1000 miles.

good day,

i know that at least american and united sent their members some "benefits pamphlets" in which there was information on how to accrue miles when visiting h&r block. you only need the proper coupon code to enter into the h&r block software.

if you do not have that pamphlet, i would call your airline and ask them for the code.

For an office visit, 1,000 miles are offered on a choice of several airlines. Info on the Finance page of my website, Free Frequent Flyer Miles (http://www.freefrequentflyermiles.com/index.htm).

I used H&R Block last year to file my return in hopes of earning some AA miles, to this day I have yet to see those miles.

Last year I got 250 united miles in two weeks. This year they were posted in 10 days. If for some reason any miles are not posted then it means the person who filed your return did not do his/her job well.

I thought H&R Block would be cheaper than using a CPA...do I just give the code to the person helping me, I hope they know what to do with it.

Thanks!

The person who did mine entered the code in the computer as I watched, but I have not received the points yet for a return done mid February (Priority Club points in my case).

Also chose PC points, first week of Feb, no points to date. But I use H&R every year...painless, quick and easy. I did win enough in their "prize patrol" thing this year to pay for my return...so if I ever get my points, they'll truly be "free points"

What's the prize patrol? How long does it take for them to do everything, is it all prepared while you're sitting there? Always had an accountant do it, so I have no idea how long it takes.
