Travelocity.com has super sale rate in an executive room at the Summit Lodge in Whistler for $19 per night between April 1 & April 5. Normal rates are $275 - $520

Could you provide a link or more information as to where on the site you found this? The cheapest rate I could find for that time period was Super Sale Rate of CAD 179.

I have just checked - it is still there. If you select the dates April 1-5 it is the room before the bottom room for $19. Sorry - can't get a URL link to work.

When I pull it up, the second rate from the bottom is $199 CAD. Oh well. Maybe it's only for folks from England ???

That CAD19 rate is still available on Travelocity (http://www.travelocity.co.uk) , although only for single occupancy.

It is kinda strange ... when you read the rules it mentions option of extra person supplement of 30 CAD, I think it was, plus 10 for a rollaway.

Also under descriptions of their rooms, it lists an executive suite, but no executive room. Wonder what these are. Put in double occupancy and the same executive room comes up at 199 CAD.

BTW ... for anyone in San Francisco area Alaska's got a web special of $107 inc. tax to YVR. Can go as late as 3/31 and stay until 4/3. Could work out OK with the hotel deal.

I haven't been to Whistler recently, so can't say. In general though, a benefit to late season skiing at Whistler is that you can frequently actually see the mountain.

Just a hunch ... but I suspect someone left a 9 off of this one, and at 19 a night, they'd likely be more than happy to cancel the reservation for you ...

Looks like a Travelocity error...Expedia doesn't show the fare.

Actually, thats pretty standard, at least from what I know of Whistler. Most of the hotels are all suite, too.

Stuid question, but how do you access lodging outside of US? When asking for locations, it only gives options for US States.

Click on "Lodging", then choose "Search for hotels by city, zip/postal code, or full address". It has US and Canada covered.

So has anyone booked this yet? On Trevlocity's site it says taxes are additional, which is normal, but perhaps they will tack on an additional 100.00 to make up for the mistake.

Does anyone know when ski season generally ends in Whistler?

Boy, I wonder if this is going to end up being rejected like the Hilton $0 rate (see the post regarding the WSJ).

Unfortunately, I have already booked a room for Whistler for 4/6-4/11 -- and of course they have a 30-day cancellation policy.

Front desk said (over the phone) they are honouring the rate. Was an 'input' mistake.

Pulled up my res. on Sabre (www.virtuallythere.com) and Travelocity...showed CAD19...but front desk computer shows CAD199.

Cancelled all res. with no charges to my CC.

Funny part is the Front Desk said they were honouring the rate...but the manager she put me through to was the one who laughed.

Chalk one up to persistence and of course the great lead on this board.

I booked a three day stay (4/12-15) at the c$19 rate and called the hotel directly today to "re-confirm". When doing so, the reservationist did reconfirm...at a rate of c$199. She added, "we look forward to your arrival". I said, "hold on...my CONFIRMED rate is c$19". She responded with a rather smug, "I'm sorry, there is no hotel in Whistler with a $19 rate". I said, that may be but I booked this one at that rate. After a few more blah, blah, blahs, I asked to speak to her supervisor. After exactly 45 seconds of explaining the situation, she agreed to honor the c$19 rate and sent me an email to confirm. Now I gotta find a flight to get me from ATL-YVR for a targeted >$600.

"If you want it, ask for it"

Trust me...I more than asked for it!!!

Faxed a complaint regarding how my call was handled (getting directly laughed at multiple times)...

Steve, the Manager at Summit called me immediately offering to honour my bookings. He apologized to no end.

The reservations that they cancelled for me...that they agreed not to charge to my CC...just showed up on my AMEX...at $200 night....a little shocking to say the least.

Manager had them reversed immediately.
