Independence Air gets new flight attendants contract
"Independence Air, the low-cost carrier that flies from Stewart Airport, has reached agreement with the Association of Flight Attendants on a new contract.
The contract covers a period of two-and-a-half years, and includes significant quality-of-life improvements for Independence Air’s 560 flight attendants.
While both sides complimented one another for reaching the successful conclusion of negotiations, neither side outlines the specifics of the contract.
“We applaud AFA for their creativity and professionalism in working through the elements of these negotiations while being mindful of the extraordinary economic challenges our company and the entire airline industry must contend with,” said airline President Thomas Moore.
Independence Air offers low fares to 41 destinations utilizing its hub at Washington Dulles International Airport."
