Just make sure that your operator has roaming in Japan and that you have the correct simcard to roam with them. grahamb Mar 23, 05, 8:51 pm Does anyone have any experience with the Nokia 6630. I believe that 1 or 2 Korean operators are rolling out WCDMA but don't think the networks have great coverage there yet. Not sure about the roaming status. It is possible to rent Korean phones at Incheon that take a SIM card from overseas; they have roaming agreements with various operators overseas. I think that the roaming works better with the Asian operators though - I couldn't get it working with my European SIM but a colleagues Hong Kong SIM worked fine. AFAIK, this is only available at Incheon. stargold Mar 23, 05, 9:11 pm I believe that 1 or 2 Korean operators are rolling out WCDMA but don't think the networks have great coverage there yet. Just off my head, I have never heard of anyone rolling out W-CDMA in Korea... It's all been CDMA 2000 1x EV-DO for their 3G services so far, which I believe is quite separate from W-CDMA. I could be wrong, though. ScottC Mar 23, 05, 9:19 pm Just off my head, I have never heard of anyone rolling out W-CDMA in Korea...
