How are the Azores? Would like to go one day. Unbelievable that TAP are still using these old A310s. Never liked them. As to SATA I hear good things.

......Regarding the TAP A310, I am pretty sure that they do not schedule those for transatlantic service anymore. I was originally scheduled to be on their A340 with the new J seats, but unfortunately, the A340 was still broken down in EWR......
I was looking to book my flights to Italy on TP and found on the schedule that the A310s are still servicing the transatlantic routes. Did you by any chance see what Y was like?
