Hi folks!
I am about to book a one way from LAX to RAR with a stopover in PPT. I would be booked in B inventory. My question is, when do I have to tell them that I want a stopover in PPT? Can I book online and call the reservations agent to put in a 48 hour stopover in PPT or do I have to claim that at time of booking? Sorry for the dumb question...

PS: my complete itinerary is LAX-(stopover PPT)-RAR (staying there 5 days)-AKL(staying there 2 days)-FRA.

Try booking on multi-city booking option (bottom of this page (http://www.airnz.co.nz/airfares_offers/book_online/default.htm)). Note the schedule is not daily.

Is there a downside in calling NZ to make the booking for this type of routing, especially if you know the flights you want ?

Thanks gents for the tips. Actually, the AKL-FRA flight will be booked separately, probably on an award ticket.
