US Airways Dividend Miles (Pre-FlightFund Merger) - no change fee

I just had to change a ticket (SFO-CLT-EWR) red-eye to a daytime (earlier on the same day) SFO-PIT-EWR.

I called, and they originally said it was going to be the difference in fare plus the $100 change fee. I decided to think about it, and then decided to go ahead and book, so I called back, and the person only charged me the difference in fare.

I just saved $100! It pays to sometimes hang up and call again.

Yes many times it does pay to hang up and call again. It really is amazing what one rep will do and what others will not do.

Found out today (03/11/05) that they wanted:

Called Silver line and they changed it only the $62 fare difference. No change fee.

Just so you know. There is not a change or cancelation fee is you do it with in 24 hours of booking.
