US Airways Dividend Miles (Pre-FlightFund Merger) - Preferred phone lines

Is there really no preferred line for gold members to make international award reservations (with a partner airline)? This is what they told me when I tried to book one. The hold times on the regular lines are really interminable.

So I asked that question after I got put on hold and it just got answered. Total time of 28 minutes on hold. Question that took less than one minute to answer.

By calling the general preferred number for your respective level and selecting the corresponding option (for GP it's 3-2), I believe that you get jumped up the queue. As a test, I just called the GP number and selected international awards and it said that my call would be answered in approximately 3 minutes. I then hung up and called the general number for the same desk and got the "try your call again later" message that many have reported on this forum - so using your Preferred number definately helps.

When I call the CP desk and then push "3" for International I always have a rep within a minute. The other posters are correct, you must go to the front of the queue.
