Hilton HHonors - Recommendations for Wash/Oregon coast?

I will be in Cannon Beach, Oregon (on the coast due west of Portland) for a wedding this summer. I would like to spend a few extra days exploring the Washington and Oregon coastline, using up some Hilton points for lodging. (I already have reservations in Cannon Beach for the wedding) Does anyone have recommendations on Hilton properties there?

Thanks

If you mean the open ocean coastline in WA or OR, there are no HHonors properties. Of course Puget Sound is a different story.

Most of Hilton's properties in Oregon are located in the Portland metropolitan area. As flytoeat pointed out, there are none located on the coast. If you still wanted to explore the coast, but stay at Hilton properties, about the only way you could do this (if after the wedding) would be to explore down the Oregon coast, say as far as Newport, and then to drive inland over the Coast Range on Hwy. 20 and stay at the Garden Inn in Corvallis. The next day you could drive up I-5 to the Portland area and stay at any number of Hilton properties.

Thanks for the advice. It's a shame there aren't any properties on the coast - I hear it's beautiful.

It is beautiful, and I hope you have a great time in my home state. I agree that it is too bad there are no Hilton options on the coast.

Here's a recommendation for the Cannon Beach area. If you're looking for a smaller, more secluded beach to relax on, head south out of Cannon Beach on Hwy 101 for about five miles and look for a park sign for Hug Point. It's a great little cove beach that isn't usually too crowded. Although most Oregon beaches are rarely really crowded, especially by CA standards. If the tide is low enough, you can walk north around the point and see a neat little waterfall there. There are also some small caves that your kids (if any) may enjoy.
