I will be earning some miles on CX but have no intention of flying them again. Does anyone know if I can transfer ailines miles to my AMEX rewards account?? If so, what carriers does the AMEX program accept? Thanks in advance

Why put miles from a flight on CX into a CX frequent flier account if you never plan on using them again? Since CX is part of the Oneworld Alliance (www.oneworld.com) why not pick an alliance member like AA to credit the miles to? I would assume that you might have the chance to fly AA in the future living in SFO. Here's a link to the AA Advantage page detailing earning AA miles on CX:

http://www.aa.com/apps/AAdvantage/ViewMileageProgramsPartnerDetail.jhtml?fileName=ca thayPacific.xml&repositoryName=AAdvantagePartnersContentRepository&repositoryId=12900191&itemDescriptor=AAdvantagePartnersContent#0

If you are booked in a Fare class that doesn't give AA miles, I would still check out the other partners you might use in the future before you put the miles in a CX account you will definitely not use.

As far as transfering CX miles into the AMEX MR program, I don't think that works. I have only heard of transfering miles out of AMEX and no into.

If you can transfer or convert your CX miles into goldpoints at goldpoints.com, and you have elite status with goldpointsplus.com (Radisson rewards program), you can transfer the goldpoints into membership rewards points at the conversion ratio of 1000 goldpoints = 125 membership rewards points. Not a very good deal when you can alternatively convert the same 1000 goldpoints into 125 miles with numerous airlines listed at goldpointsplus.com. Radisson offers 1000 goldpoints just for online booking each reservation, and awards 10 points for dollar spent at its hotels.
