Hertz - Question
What cars have my fellow Gold Members recieved when they booked a G class car? Has anyone recieved a General Motors car in the premiuim car class, If so could you please let me know what trim level it was and the equipment it had on the car.
Thank you very much, I appreciate it very much.
Anyone have any comments/sugestions.
Thanks
Cadillac Deville?
Or maybe a dressed up Buick LeSabre?

The only GM YG (Specialty Premium) car I have received is a 2004 Buick LeSabre Limited with sunroof, leather, and XM satellite radio at SEA. For a V6, it was peppy enough and averaged 30 mpg over about 700 miles.
Avalons and G35s used to be YG, but are now classified as H.
Someone just noted the Pontiac Bonneville is joining the Premium fleet, possibly replacing the LeSabre (which is being phased out by Buick for a new model).
The Cadillac is a YI - Specialty Luxury.

.
What the hell is so great about the Avalon, I truly believe that Hertz created the H class so they wouldn't have to give PC's decent cars anymore.

What the hell is so great about the Avalon...
Rides very nice, yet has good steering feel (doesn't "float" like the Fords). Gets quite good mileage (V6 with the same output as the V8 in the CV/GM), has a six-disc CD changer, dual climate control, sunroof, and nicer leather. Better cup-holders. Center console. Better tranny. Etc... Etc...
And the new 2005 is a real stunner. I'd actually consider paying the $70 rate instead of aiming for a Lincoln LS (much less a Volvo S80).

I agree that the Avalon is much better than a CV/GM but why not leave it as a Specialty Premium. By putting it in the same class as the G35, it becomes one more car that a PC can not get upgraded to either by way of the PC upgrade or using a Earned Free Rental Day Cert. What's next, the Maxima?
So the Maxima is YG, has anyone recieved one when they reserved a G, as a regular Gold member, Like me. If so, The Maxima's that hertz has what are they Equipped with, and which trim level are they?
Thank You very much, you advise is very much appreciated.

Only Maxima I ever had was a YF 2003, and it was okay.
I'd love to try one of the 2004 or 2005 models.
As for making the Avalon and G35 H's, Hertz (or at least Hertz's station managers) no doubt noticed that there was some serious cash to be made with these babies, so kicking them to their own level helped.
And actually, I still get 2004 G35s and Avalons as my PC upgrade, at SEA of all locations (which has been pretty tight-fisted in the past about upgrades beyond Premiums) on both cheap weekend rates and free rental awards.
Anyone else on the topic of the Maxima?
Thanks alot for everyone's input.
