Did anyone else notice that Hertz as of today changed the description on the website for a Premium is - Crown Victoria, Bonneville or Similar.

When did this happen the description I read before was GM/ LeSabre. Does this mean the Lesabre isnt going to be YG but H now?

Just wanted to let everyone know about that change.

Ryan

I see it starting last night for reservations at my HLE. It definitely was not there on Tuesday 3/8. I don't know if they are retiring the GM or moving up to H. I'll know in a week's time since I have a rental for a G class at my HLE.

I've received LeSabre's a few times as a premium rental. They've been classified as YGs with leather, sunroof, and XM.

I know they have some strippers (cloth, no sunroof), but if I got one of those as a Premium, I'd be back to the counter.

I wonder if they will get any Bonneville GXP's with the Northstar V8?

I checked at my HLE today. They still have either the GM or the Crown Vic. But he said they were going to roll out Bonneville's in the next month or two to replace the Grand Marquis'.

Got a Bonneville last night with a "G" class res. Noticed on the rental agreement it was classed as a "G" and not a "YG". Then again, there's nothing "special" about it --- cloth seats, no sunroof, etc. Went on the Pontiac website and saw that these "base" model Bonneville's list for just under 30 grand!! It's no wonder GM can't move these cars even with a 5K rebate!

It is sad that Hertz is now following some of the lower-tier chains like Budget in their idea of "upgrades". Most of the Crown Vics I see walking by their lot on the way to Hertz have cloth interiors.

If I had reserved and paid for a Premium and saw a car with cloth seats in my stall, I'd be back into the desk immediately.

Likewise.

Unfortunately, my "home" airport Hertz (MKG) -- while having the #1 Hertz customer service rep. employed there-- lacks in both size and variety, especially when it comes to Premium and Luxury. The only other "G" on the lot was a Grand Marq. that "hadn't been cleaned yet". On a lighter note, I was just burning a 5* Free Day Cert. that expires soon and the car did average a bit above 30 mpg over 175 miles of a 70/30 mix of highway/city driving.

Which model did you end up with at MKG for that rental?

Far as I can tell, it was the SLE although there were no exterior markings to indicate this. I thought it was the base model, but it did have the driver info. center, which according to the Pontiac website, is not available on the base (SE) model. Maybe this was one of those custom made for rental fleet models, if there is such a thing???

Edited to add: this was an '05 with 16k miles and CA tags.
