American Express Membership Rewards - Amex Platinum Avis Peferred Select

Hello. As an Amex Platinum card holder in Canada, I just realized that we have slightly different program from US. For example, we have Fairmont Premier status but not Avis Peferred Select. If anyone out there has Avis Peferred Select source code and want to exchange for Fairmont Premier code, please PM me. :D

There was no source code per-se... Amex mails a paper application which you have to mail or fax back to Avis. That said, since I've had plat, National's rates have always been better.

I've also heard that Avis Preferred Select is stingy with upgrades.

If you go with National's Emerald Club (included with Platinum at least here in the US), after 10 rentals in a calendar year you'll be guaranteed an upgrade from midsize to full size or greater.

Been extermely happy with Avis Preferred Select. Always received an upgrade to best car available including premier/luxury.
