Hilton HHonors - Closest Scandic to ARN? (Or easiest to reach by bus/train)

Actually, I think the closest is the Scandic Infracity, but I'm not sure what kind of transportation is available between Infracity and ARN (late night arrival, early am departure). I'd like to book a Scandic as an award that's close or at least uncomplicated to reach from ARN. Anyone has any suggestion? I've been to the Scandic Continental, next to the central railway station, but I'd prefer something a bit closer and still reachable by public transport.

Actually, the closest is Scandic Upplands Väsby, 10 minutes from Arlanda. I don't know if there is a direct bus service to Arlanda however.

An alternative to Scandic Continental would be Scandic Järva Krog, which is at the freeway to Arlanda, about 10 minutes north of the city center with airport coaches stopping nearby.

The Arlanda Express train from downtown direct to the airport is across the street and ~one block away from the Scandic Continental. It couldn't be easier to get to the airport from there, the train drops you off inside the terminal! They still have a 2 for 200 deal for weekend travel.

Scandic InfraCity is by far the best Scandic close to ARN. It is a hassle getting there without a car, public transportation is possible but it takes 2 bus rides and one regional train trip. Public transportation takes about 30 minutes but if you’re in for saving money this is the way to go (about 25SEK). Taxi to and from InfraCity normally costs about 300-350SEK one-way. Scandic Continental is a fair choice but if having a lot of luggage it can be a hassle getting between the train station and the hotel.
The best alternative for ARN is definitely Radisson SAS Sky City which is located between terminal 4 and 5 and one won’t even have to go outside to get there. If looking for a budget hotel there are numerous of cheaper alternatives around ARN with free shuttle bus (starting from 400-500SEK per night).

Correct, especially if going early morning or late evening. Reason to choose this alternative would be a tight budget and IMO Infra City is still a better hotel than Continental (Infra City used to be a Hilton until late 2003).
