Hertz - Two rentals at one time

I am going out of town with my partner... I am #1Gold and will rent a car thursday to Monday. I am doing a family thing my partner does not care to do so we are getting a second car saturday to sunday.

I have rented the car in my name for both but he will have car #2 for the one day.

Anyone ever do something like this? I normally do not put him on my contract as he is covered without being on there - but may this time to be safe....

I have rented three cars in one day(different locations) before with no problem. I've also had my father (same name as me) rent a second car from the same location while I had a car with no problem so you should be fine.

Be careful - some credit card insurance contracts are very specific about only covering one rental car at a time (my German LH Visa card for instance). So check your contracts and make sure all rentals are covered with insurance!
