Hertz - Advice for my trip to LAX - Mustang

Basically I am going on my dream road trip for 10 days in the end of April starting in LAX driving to LAS, SFO and back down to LAX.

I have always wanted to do this and to do it the right way I want to drive a Mustang - so the big question is how to secure this.

I am joining the Gold club since I get that for free thruogh SK*G.

I have seen threads about going for NeverLost to help the car you want and I seem to remember that if you are Hertz Gold you can pick a car make?

My question in short - how do I secure getting a Mustang.

Priority list:

05 Mustang
04 Mustang convertible
04 Mustang

I was thinking to get the standard car, but a few weeks ago they changed the labl for this grup to Grand am, alero etc

Second option was to go for the K class and take the 04 convertible. Also would it help to reserve Neverlost?
