Hilton HHonors - Hitchin UK

I might be going to Hitchin, UK for business and am curious about the Hilton properties close by.
Which ones have a concierge lounge?
What is the service in the lounges?
Is there easy access to public transportation?
Upgrades for Diamonds?
Is Hitchin close enough to drive from London?

My suggestion is that you first determine what hotels are near Hitchin and then look at the descriptions on the Hilton website. I think you will get a lot of good information there.

Hitchin is in 'no mans land' north of London, my advice would be stay in London and take the train - 25 minutes from Kings Cross, you could stay at Paddington or the Metropole and with the short tube journey to Kings Cross have a commute of less than an hour to Hitchin. The Euston Hilton is a few minutes walk from Kings Cross but has had very bad reviews on this forum so best avoid.
