Hilton HHonors - Hilton Cocoa Beach Oceanfront

I am scheduled to visit the Hilton in Cocoa Beach in mid March.

I am well aware that the hotel sustained hurricane damage and when I initially booked the hotel, the website indicated that the renovations would be completed by Feb 2005, but now it says May 2005.

Has anyone recently stayed at the Hilton in Cocoa Beach and if so, how are the renovations going?

I have not stayed at this property since the damage was done. However, I have tried to stay here prior to the hurricanes, and I must say that it is not a property I would want to use.

Use the Doubletree, just down the street, much nicer

Was there in mid Feb. Major repair and clean up still in progress. Lots of construction workers and noise at the Hilton and neighboring properties. Not a good choice for relaxation at the pool. You may want to consider Daytona or even a little north of the Hilton Cocoa there is less damage. Enjoy your stay the beaches are still nice, the roads are open and most businesses are operational but there is still a lot of recovery effort in progress for the beachside properties.
