American Express Membership Rewards - SPG Amex Card

Hello, I just received my and my wife's SPG cards. I checked the american express website for hooking my cards to starwood account. I could not find any references. How do I do that?

Also, I want to hook my wife's card (she is additional card member on my account) to the same starwood account. Any pointers will be really appreciated. Thanks.

I'm not sure I understand your question completely. When you applied for the SPG Amex, I believe you had to include your SPG account number or apply to receive an SPG # if you didn't already have one. Thus, the cards should already be linked to the SPG account used in the application.

The account application for a single account with 2 cards seems to have a place to enter only one SPG account number.

I had a blue cash previously. What I did was call them up and ask them to do a product transfer from blue cash to SPG. While on the phone doing that, the rep never asked me for my starwood account number nor did I know that I was supposed to give it to her.

But, I did call them up yesterday and they had properly linked my SPG card to my starwood account (which I had opened a month back). I could get that answer after 3 calls, though. :(

Also, my and my wife's new SPG cards have the same account numbers as the blue cash. Hopefully, that would prevent my SPG cards from showing up as "new account" on our credit reports.
