Hilton HHonors - Surprise Points From A Diamond Desk Arranged Award

Has anyone every received points for an award stay arranged by the Diamond Desk? That is one where there weren't any award stays available and they over rode things and arranged an award.

I did and apparently hit the jackpot. The folio for my part of the stay was ~$1500, but it showd up in my HH account as $3400. The points posted as:

50% BONUS ON BASE PT 17,100
CRM EMAIL DBL PTS 34,201
DIAMOND VIP - 2005 17,100
TOTAL POINTS FOR THIS STAY 102,602

It looks like I got credit for what Hilton paid the hotel. Additionally I got credit for the nights stayed.

If you read the email they sent when they made the arrangement, it likely states that points may post, but will be removed. But maybe you'll get lucky and they won't catch it :D
