MilesBuzz! - I want to get toCabo San Lucas

I need to get from DC to Cabo San Lucas cheaply. Does anyone have any experience?

AA flies to Los Cabos via DFW and LAX. An economy-driven airfare war is imminent.

Check Bestfares.com they sometimes have good deals.

I would think one of three routes. Via Houston, Dallas or Phx. Check travelocity and look on the sites for CO, AA and HP (Am West). -Yes, Am West's coach is not really that great of an experience. But, they are cheap.

Also remember that while Cabo is great, the prices are pretty high. The fleecing starts with the shuttle ride from the Cabo airport to your hotel which is ~ $22 per. You might want to give La Paz a shot if you would like to get away from the touristy sites.

ButherBird we were in Los Cabos in September, and the shuttle was nowhere near that as I recall.

Oz. Hmmm....You might be correct. I was thinking that we took the shuttle, but it may have been a taxi afterall. Too many years and too many trips to keep them all straight.

I just remember the trip being somewhere in the low $20's range, and being surprised at the high cost when Mexico is generally fairly inexpensive. Either way, caught a Marlin! (and let it go after taking a picture)

Fortunately I have a friend and his timeshare down there already! I just gotta get there...I have been able to find $625 rt as the best so far, on COntinental, American and Aero Mexico. I will try Am West

If you can find something cheap to Denver, there are sometimes cheap Mexicana fares from there.

My favorite hotel BY FAR is Solmar. Away from the college drinking crowd (maybe you want that) and the most Mexican of the hotels. Right on a beautiful (non-swimming) beach. Secluded and magnificent... we go every year. Food is not to great, but atmosphere beats anything else in the most tourista of tourista towns. Great fishing fleet, too. My son got a 110 lb marlin!

Thanks for the generous offer but AmWest is more expensive than Cont or American.

Thanks, I have looked into this option, and I think it is the best alternative. A friend of mine gets discounts on Frontier travel, so from DC to Denver to Cabo comes out to a little less than $500 w/ taxes. Not bad, I just worry about Mexicana...are they any good and relieably on time?

How cheap is cheap from DEN? May look at this for May.

Flew MEX to Cabo in Spetember. We got upgraded BOTH ways, based purely on a Star Gold United card. Nice airline really. Now they are in * you can get points for flight added to your United account if you choose.
