America West FlightFund (Discontinued Program) - FlightFund Hold time?

Once again I am sitting on hold (using the Platinum number) for Flight Fund, my current hold time just hit 35 minutes.

Is it just me, or has this gotten really bad over the past few months? This is not the first time I have had a hold time of over 20 minutes on the Plat line.

A few weeks ago I was told that they had hired a bunch of new people and it was going to get better, anyone know when this is?

I've actually called twice today, the latest time around 5 PM and wasn't on hold for more than a minute after the intro recording either time. Perhaps my timing is just lucky?

Are you calling the number on the back of the NEW Plat card that just came out? It changed from last year's number. (As usual, I had to re-program all my phones with the new one.) Last year's number just rolls into the regular flight fund bank.

They're always hiring... but people are always quitting too. At seven bucks an hour, it's hard to find good people.

Likewise. I can't remember ever waiting more than 5 minutes. I'm so damn impatient I would probably hang up myself after 6 mins! :p

I had the same problems yesterday with the HP Vacations people. I was on hold for about 20 minutes just so I could confirm the online reservation I made actually went through (never got a conf. email). Thank goodness for speakerphone..

Funny... Yesterday I had to call from Bangkok and used the "international" number for the standard reservations line (it's listed on the website). The phone rang once and an agent (a very good one at that) picked up. No hold music or automated attendant.

I wonder if they switch their electronic 'gatekeeper' for queing phone calls right over at midnight on 3/1. I wish they'd leave the old numbers valid for a week or two extra. I still haven't gotten my card (one of the privledges of living in The Gem State - we must still be on the pony express) and I'm leaving for another transcon in a few days. Does anybody have the # for the gold line yet?

I'm already dreading what's going to happen if Mesa pulls it's usual shenanigans when I try to get out of SLC on a friday in the middle of Spring Break season. :(

I'm currently on hold with HP, at first I was on hold for 15 minutes, after getting an agent and speaking for about 40 seconds, I was put back on hold for another 15 minutes, she just came on again, talked for ten second and violla I'm back on hold. It shouldn't be this hard to request the trial elite status they offered me.
