Just curious to see how many people who have actually tried to reserve an '05 Mustang have actually gotten one. Has anyone noticed how many are on the lots when they are there?

Has anyone noticed how many are on the lots when they are there? I've tried to reserve them a few times in SFO, LAS, and TYS - in SFO, I got "upgraded" to a Grand Marquis, in TYS, I got a Oldsmobile Alero, and in LAS, I got a 04 Convertible (in January - luckily, it wasn't that cold out). At TYS, they didn't have them, but Enterprise did. Didn't see any in the parking lot at SFO. At LAS, they had one, but it was in the Presidents Circle lot & I was told that it had been pre-reserved (although I called to request an 05 & the station manager told me that they don't take reservations on specific cars!) Loran Mar 2, 05, 5:12 pm I reserved a Class D ("standard car") in CLE in Dec and got the 05 Mustang. I've also seen them in FLL. Interestingly, the Hertz website seems to have changed the definition of Class D cars to "Grand Am, Alero, or similar." The Mustang only shows up at the locations where you can reserve a brand/model. That is interesting you mentioned that because when I made my original reservation through the website I selected the Mustang, Monte Carlor, or Similar grouping. Then I called into the 800 number to have them put on my reservation requests '05 Mustang (I did it his way so I could use the promotion of getting a day free). I just review my reservation online and my class description is the Grand Am, Alero, or Similar. Should I be worried about that even though I have that request for the '05 Mustang in my remarks section? I am a #1 Club Gold member if that makes a difference. Bites if they're getting kicked-up a notch, as I'd hate to rent a Midsize and get one of them as my PC upgrade... psychephylax Mar 2, 05, 9:15 pm Aleros used to be YC (Specialty Midsize) and I imagine Grand Ams were, as well... OT..But I noticed that too...A some of my Intermediates are now YC like the Alero and Malibu. Has anyone noticed how many are on the lots when they are there? Welcome to FlyerTalk, Redmen. :) I did, first time out of the box, in January at MSY (on a Carnival Weekend, no less :D ). It still had the temporary registration in the rear window. You should ask when you get there, if the car is not parked in your space. There were only four in stock at the time, and at first, the staff told me they didn't have any available - but they checked, and I got the last one, a red one. People gawked and stared in amazement wherever I drove her. I loved that. ;) SEA_Tigger Mar 3, 05, 11:32 am Or get upgraded to a "luxury" Kia, as they tried to do to me in Austin. They have one in the "prime" spot at SEA. As a YF, it sounds fine. But a Premium? Not a chance. And an H (G35/Avalon)? Pardon me while I guffaw. debua1k Mar 18, 05, 2:49 pm I have a shiny, new, red, convertible 2005 T-bird today! It is soooooo much fun!
