I'm currently after a set of noise cancelling headphones. I'm well aware that the best kit out there is the Bose Quiet Comfort, but they look awfully expensive for a set of headphones. What, in the opinion of our assembled experts would be the best of the rest?

For noise-cancelling, my recommendation would be the Sennheiser PXC-250's.
