American Express Membership Rewards - Long shot - lounge access at LGW
I'm expecting the answer to be no to this but thought I'd ask. GF is flying out to me in AMS Thursday evening. She's on a cheap BA Y ticket. Given the snow both here and back in Blighty I'm guessing she's going to get hit with an hours or two's delay.
She has black plastic issued on my Centurion account, is there a lounge she could get into in the North Terminal? No priority pass card yet.

Riff raff card holders seem to use this :D :-

I am sure your GF IS NOT riff raff :p It will cost you/her £17.50, so tell her to get there early and fill her boots, ready for you to scoop her up later ;) Nicer for it to be organised up front, rather having to beg on the day with no certainty.
Good luck,
Thanks, handy bolt hole if it all goes par-shaped and she gets snow-bound.

Ahhh, the Aviance Lounge...Voted a favourite of Chav's everywhere!
I used it the other week (*G access for Adria Airways)...Not worth it. The gin and vodka's are not even a recognisable brank (Jim's Gin, Frank's Vodka). Seats aren't very comfortable. If you've got PirorityPass, you'd be better off nipping across the hall to the Delta Crown Room.
Give her 20 quid and have her buy something nice at duty free instead :)
Gatwick North is reasonalbly nice and I don't think she'd mind an extra hour or two of retail therapy.

Not sure which country has issued your Centurion card (i think there are 7 at the moment?), but the Australian one comes with PP membership for both black card holders (we only are allowed 2 black on the account w/ 2 plat supps). Might be worth a phone call?

The Delta lounge is VERY nice - can't you get the Priority Pass speeded up? If not, perhaps they could send you a fax saying the card is coming?
If all else fails and you know the flight is delayed, there is a Meridien hotel landside at Gatwick North that is connected to the terminal. Hanging out here is probably better than hanging out in the airport - but leave enough time to get through security.

Gatwick airport has a pretty nice pre-departure waiting area (almost like being in a mall). Not too bad to wait in.
