American Express Membership Rewards - Fairmont Premier upgrade for Platinum Card Holders

Apologies if this has been answered, the search engine is down. I remember reading a while ago, that Platinum Cardholders get upgraded to Fairmont Premier Status. I am not sure if this was just a benefit for Platinum Card members in Canada :confused: . I was looking through my Platinum welcome package, that is now a few years old and I see no mention of it. If anyone has any information on this or the promotional code used I would appreciate it. If you dont want to posit it here, please PM it to me.
