On the NWA forumit was mentioned that , a partnership agreement called "Skyteam" allows access to lounges for AeroMexico, Air France, KLM, Korean, etc. I noticed that NWA, DL, and CO were also included....which Amex plat card members should have access to.

Anyone ever tried to get into a partner lounge with their Amex Platinum and a ticket? To make it more complicated, I'm looking to get into the Aeromexico lounge with a continental ticket....

If you are using your Amex plat for access:

The SkyTeam alliance is completely orthogonal from the American Express Platinum card lounge access. As far as I know, the membership of NWA in SkyTeam doesn't change any aspect of your access to lounges using a Platinum card.

If, for example, you try to get into an Air France lounge by waving your Platinum card, you will no doubt be booted out.

I thought it might be too goo to be true. At least I can use the CO IAH lounge outbound. Thanks for the feedback!

I had not thought of the orthogonal approach, but if I walk into the lounge at a right angle to the door, they will let me stay?
