Very creative promotion. I just opened up the LA Times and they've got a full page spread.

The sweepstakes is now running, but it looks like California is excluded on the shipping address form -- you have to fill in address data before you can enter. I hope they fix the form soon.
update 2004-02-28:
Looks like they've fixed the address form to include California.

struck out for today's satelitte radio prize....dam the 5 year free pass would be insane! what a novel idea though as they know youll never fly alone and thus have to buy your sign other/friend a flight w/ you....
maybe they can change their FF program after they get more people to sign up for TrueBlue after this promotion?

I agree. Forget the LAZ boy and give me the five years of flights.
P.S. It never said when the grand prize would be announced. On Friday they announce 5 people who get one free year of flights, but I didn't see anything for the grand prize.

I just read the fine print on the 5-year travel card.
(1) It is good only for 60 one-way flights.
(2) Jetblue reserves the right to impose conditions, such as requiring a saturday-night stay.

60 flights at an average 99 fare.(Depending on the time) If you flew all 60, it would still save you 6k.

Yes. And perfect for last-minute getaways! I'd actually pay good money for a 60-flight travel card, probably not $6000 though.

nothing doing for the Vespa. Curious hwne they announce the winners of the daily prizes. I'm going to guess the odds of even winning the daily prize are 1/100,000+ easily.

They claim that they have 2 million members. Lets say 1.5 million try each day. There are maybe 5 on this board. So we have a 5/1.5 milion chance, or about a .000003333333 chace at winning. I like the odds. :)
P.S. Just realized it was my 200th post. Cool.

Odds are listed in the official rules (http://www.jetbluetake5sweeps.com/rules.html). The odds of winning a Vespa are 1:50,000.

Hey look at the positive side. You are giving 95 to Jetblue while you may give 300 to United, American, or Continental. Living just outside NYC, Jetblue is a savior. If Jetblue didn't exist, there would be no low fares in NYC (No b6, no song) Good luck to Jetblue for the next 5 years.

I agree. It was upwards of $200 each way on American or United.. Continental was alright, but no where near my $205.00 r/t after taxes.
I live on Staten Island, the Belt and Van Wyck suck, but its worth the drive.

I believe that the contest is over and no one on this board has claimed to won. The chances for any of us to win was very slim. I know that I was a loser every day of the week.

Why would you get on the Wyck?
BobbyL262
Mar 5, 05, 9:19 pm
It ends up being faster then staying on the Belt the whole way to get on the Wyck and get off speeds up.. but sometimes one accident or wrong doing can really screw ya
