American Express Membership Rewards - Centurion Switzerland

The benefits around centurion have been great to date. 10% discounts at excellent restaurants last minute bookings etc. The Swiss centurion site isn't bad and there are attractive specials, ie. Roederer Champagne etc. which make excellent gifts to be sent about with the concierge services.

What I'd be currious to learn about is access to other countries centurion websites. Are there any and is it possible to access those with foreign centurion cards?

I don't know much about the websites, they rarely give much info from what I have seen, however the centurion offices in each country are only too willing to help from my experience, although they would prefer you to use your home country one and they would do the enquiries for you. I keep the numbers of a few that I use on a regular basis, and have always been welcomed and never had a problem. Contact your office and they will give you the contact numbers of the ones you want ;)

Tend to think that there isn't much exchange between membership services throughout the system. I'm very satisfied with the services I get. I was just wondering if there's an equivalent to centurioncard.ch. There seems to be no site with different suffixes ie. .de, or .com etc.

The Swiss site got good content but there must be a similar site, at least in the States, with even better content.

For Germany it`s centurioncard.de.Then you need a password (the first 6 digits of your credit card)To log into the German site,take your card and replace the 4th digit by "0" instead of the "8" that you need for your site.

Good point dp. Don't care much about a local contact, I'd rather get in touch with the service center in the States where the -everything's possible- attitude is more prevalent.

I appreciate the fact, that I can fire off mails addressed to one person, that will see to it that gifts get delivered, tables, flights, Hotels etc. get booked. I get the confirmations on my treo whereever, whenever. I deal with one person only. The mails get answered even rather swiftly during absences by a substitute(s). Frankly, I don't care by whom.

There are small advantages like getting discounts at great eateries even during first bookings. Recently in HK ,upon learning that I was a wine geek and Centurion holder, I was offered a rather expensive Burg at without the mark up.

What have you encountered thus far in France?

WHERE IS THAT PLACE I4LL BE IN HK NEXT AUGUST AND I AM ALSO A WINE FAN... BY THE WAY HOW DID THEY FIND OUT WITH YOUR CENT CARD?

The said place is the Man Wah top floor Mandarin Oriental. I used to live nearby and frequent the restaurant in the early '90ies but it had been years since my last visit and even the Man Wah was affected by staff turnover particularly since the bird flu scare and subsequent loss of business.

Just walked in late without reservation with wife and daughter. They offered 10% discount upon producing the card. Went there a couple of times during that stay and was subsequently offered the great deal on a particular bottle on top of the 10%. ^

What are the advantages/cost of the French card ?

Belgian in Paris it would be better to open a new thread about the french card.

We still have little information here about it's perks.

AFAIK, the french card has an annual fee of €2,000 .
Only the metal version of the card (in titanium) has been issued.
