Gang,
I am working on a possible 10th anniversary trip to Egypt in November.
We would be travelling from Rochester, NY.
Can the experts suggest the best routing to try and get an award for Business/First class?
Would like to experience the best there is to offer.
Thanks in advance.

Your best bet is with Lufthansa with connection in Frankfurt. First Class is a must on LH... ENJOY. :D

I would suggest trying to get JFK-FRA on SQ in F rather than LH in F.

I would do SQ to FRA and then LH to CAI - you'd get to use Terminal 1 in FRA!

Thanks for the input.
Is the suggested routing the following:
ROC -> IAD -> JFK -> FRA -> CAI?
UA to JFK, Singapore to FRA and Lufthansia to Cairo?
Anyone know how many miles that will cost for First class?
Sure the fun will begin in trying to book it....
Does *A offer any way to book award 1st online or is a call the way to go?
Thanks and sorry for all the questions.
William
While the suggested routing is most likely the best, you may find it hard to book. Availibility is one thing. But "most direct routing" is another.
UA agents have been strict about this over the past year. Many agents have told me, "You aren't allowed to build your trip segment by segment. Our computer will direct us to the most direct route." (And this often means something like "ROC-IAD-FRA-CAI." If you come up against this, call back (a few times).
If it is impossible, I would find another way to JFK. (Does US fly ROC-NYC?)

You need to do it through your FFP, which I guess is United Mileage Plus. So looks like its 140,000 miles each.

I would actually consider doing the ROC-JFK portion separately (Jet Blue?) and then booking the award from JFK.
