Hertz - Lost #1 Gold Number

I signed up the other day for the free year of #1 Gold from US. I got the email saying welcome and whatnot, telling me I can log in with my #1 Gold club number and password. The only thing is, I have no idea what the number is, or where I should have gotten it. They said they can't email it to me or tell me over the phone for security reasons, but if I llike, I can make a reservation online, then call them and have an agent apply whatever savings and benefits there may be after the fact. This sounds unnacceptable. I know I am not the only person to ever lose/ not get/ forget their number. How can I recover it?

I think the OP is asking for his #1 Club Gold membership number, not the phone number.

YEah, I meant my membership number. But I'll use that phone number next time I call. thanks
