America West FlightFund (Discontinued Program) - Web Site Errors?

Is it just me or is Americawest.com and the vacation site the most error prone and amateurish airline sites?

I went online to buy a ticket same day round trip from PHX-LAX. I put in a 7am departure time on the outbound and a 8pm return. The low fare finder comes back with no flights available. I call the elite line and sure enough there are plenty of seats on the 635pm flight and 750pm flight.

I then did a search for a vacation package to LAS from PHX. The new site looks great but after three attempts I gave up because it kept coming back with error messages and a note to call AWV directly.

Does anyone else notice these types of errors?

It’s no wonder they are having money problems. I’ve never had major problems pricing flights on continental.com or even Southwest.com.

HP will go through a complete site overhaul with many new features and fixes for the majority of the errors. However a complete overhaul including a complex airline booking engine takes time and lots of testing. I would expect to see some changes later this year.

Damm! When did that change happen I was just at americawestvacations not too long ago.

That look is a far improvement. Let's hope that there are some good features added.
