To all German Centurions


what do you think of the abillities and kindliness of the hotline!

1) regarded to the car rental program- means how have you been treated at Sixt for instance concerning the double upgrade agreement- do you usually get it?

2)regarded to expert advices- sometimes I haver more information as result of being a frequent user of flyer-talk!

3) sometimes I feel bothersome for instance when ordering the ceturion magazine which I often do not receive!

recapitulatory the service seems to me quite demotivated!

YES mostly 4-5 classes. i everytime only rent the cheapest car . (polo or focus or something ) and than i get bmw320 or bmw 520 or sometimes higher.

i never got it delayed, but as it is crap you can have mine :)

Yes, me too. Friendlyness of agents varies but I have never been refused the upgrades and at the bigger stations they usually just show you which cars they have and let you make the choice...

I wouldn´t go so far as to say demotivated. But once in a while (!) you get an agent who is a little snappish - the old `bad apple´-problem, I guess. Just hang up and call again. The personal team is always very attentive and friendly.
I stopped complaining about their service after they flew me out of EWR on 9/14/01 (!) with the first flight to Germany after the attacks (which I hadn´t booked) even bumping me up one class! So, IMHO, they essentially keep their promise.

They have told me that I only get the possible two upgrades when booking at the Travel Service, but I don´t know if it´s fact! :confused:

thats not true. i everytime book the cheapest avail rate on the sixt homepage. as the amex rates are more expensive.

and than i call the sixt station where i made the reservation tell them that i am a centurion card holder and ask for upgrade.

normally they can confirm oneday before what class i will get.

in germany sixt is really nice in upgrading!

so i spent several thounsands of euro last year @ sixt.

and you can make a note in your internet reservation .

It is a little odd that the IAP is available to every AmEx member from the Gold Card - do you have any knowledge whether they make any differences in distributing those tickets to the G-/P-/C-Card Travel Services?
