Go directly to the Hertz #1 office in the parking garage (bear right and cross road outside of baggage claim) no need to stop at the terminal desk. The car you get will be a crapshoot based on availabilty. However my experience as a PC reserving a midsize w/neverlost has been a Volvo CC and a brand new loaded explorer as my last 2 rentals (within the last 3 months). Good luck.

foodguy, Thanks for replying did they change the setup? because when I was there awhile ago I think it was about 2 years ago, I just went to the counter inside the Terminal and showed my licence and they gave me the keys to my car, which was a reserved G and they gave me a Crown Vic loaded with 30 miles on the odo. But aparetly they did change the setup and the Hertz website is not updated. I will be picking up the car on a saturday morning in April specifically the 16th of this year at 7 am. What will they give me most likely I have a reservation for 247.33 for a weekly rental with all the taxes (Picking up 4/16/05 7AM until friday 4/22 drop off 10PM, I am using CDP: 32796 and a PC number:186082 which is a one car class upgrade, Is that a good rate? Also for a 7AM pickup I am expecting a good chance of getting upgraded I have a Full Size reservation. What would be the possibality of being upgraded? I am a gold member.

Please reply with any suggestions, and thanks alot for responding to my previous questions.

Ryan --

You need to give people time to respond before bumping it with a "please respond".

You are traveling in mid April -- almost 2 months away. Yet you waited less than 8 hours to add a second "Please reply thanks". This will not help you get any answers to your questions. Be patient, and people will help you. And in the end, you aren't really going to know what happens until you get to ALB and they hand you the keys to your car.

noah,

I apoligize for that, I am new to the forum, I just wanted to make sure that the procedure was the same, and if the rate that I booked was good.

Thanks for the Fyi

Albany is a pretty small airport. You can still go to the inside counter if you want to. Regardless, the distance is not that great from the terminal counter to the parking garage. I cannot comment on the likelihood or type of upgrade you will receive for a weekly rental. My experience is with 2/3 day mid-week rentals and I have top tier status. I would assume that your chances for an upgrade would be better since weekend volume is lower than weekday.
Overall, Albany is a very easy airport to navigate for car rentals--I would not be too concerned about the process of getting your car (compared to larger airports). I hope this helps. :)
