I will be arriving at 7:00am in HKG. Is there a shower in the Silver Kris Lounge?

I will be travelling on Raffles Class.

Also, I am a Star Alliance Gold member, is there a better lounge to visit?

Yes there is a shower. Not sure you have access to Silver Kris (or any lounge) on arrival as they are meant for departing passengers.

It seems that you are arriving on SQ1 at 6:50am. Do you have a connecting flight? Or are you continuing to SIN? KiwiFlyer is correct. Yes there is a shower at SKL. But if HKG is your destination, once you arrive, you can not go back in to the departure area where the SKL is.
You post similar question is UA forum:

I assume now you will depart from HKG, i.e. you are taking SQ1 SFO-HKG-SIN. The departure from HKG is about 8am. It seems that you will not have time to visit other lounges like UA RCC and TG. They are too far away from SQ gate. In addition, even if you are in SKL, it's possible you will not be able to have shower due to short time connection.

I apologize if my deduction of you taking SQ1 is incorrect.

hi cgk :)
I was some weeks ago on SQ 1. Usually this flight lands in HKG some minutes after 6 am (earlier than sched time). Last time i had the time to clear immigration, to pick up bags, to clear custom, go to transit, to meet a person for a coffee (obviously this was not the reason of our meeting), to re-check-in my bags & me in the dep hall (initially, i thought to fly a later flight, so no direct check-in to sin), to clear security checkpoint and immigration once again. then i reached SKL and i had about 20 mins to spend before dep.
So i think the time is enough both to take a shower and to reach UA RCC or TG lounge (using the fast train underground):)

of course, this deduction works in the case you have a *A connecting flight ex-hkg.

cheeersssss:)

Thank you for the response.

My final destination is HKG, so I guess I won't be able to visit the lounges. I will have to wait for my departure flight.

My departure is in First Class on SQ and the destination is San Francisco.

You are a lucky person. :) Everytime I took SQ1, the arrival at HKG was late about 30 minutes.

Enjoy your F on SQ2. Hope you have a great flight. And, are you travelling to SFO on Mar 15 or Mar 20 by any chance?

In fairness as HKG is your final destination you may as well go to your Hotel anyway. The only thing that may be against you is trying to check-in that early.

I was on SQ1 about two weeks ago and we did indeed arrive HKG a bit early. I was easily able to transfer, visit the TG lounge, shower, and make it to my connecting 8:00 am TG flight to BKK. SQ1 is indeed a lovely flight.

SQ1 is indeed a lovely flight.

I fully agree with you. IMHO, the best 744 service provided by SQ.

Hmm, I am still not lucky with SQ1. Twice this month, arrived 15 minutes late, and made a run for TG flight. But fortunately, the transfer was very quick so that I could stopby at TG lounge a bit.
Unfortunately, I found that SQ1 in F is not consistent with other SQ F I took recently. It's a below par in inflight service.

OT: My TG flights to BKK, once was an old A330, and the last one was the new refurbished C-cabin A330. The interior was very light purple. But the seats, I would say, it's not comfortable at all (for me anyway.) The angle of the foot rest put me in an awkward seating position.

^ Well I will say goodbye for SQ1/2 for the next six months at least. Will take SQ11/12 instead. One of the reasons would be the 1:30am SQ1 departure from SFO (way passed my bedtime :D ), and late arrival SQ2 in SFO at 19:30 (unable to connect directly to last flight to YVR).
