We're flying business class from L.A. to New Zealand on a 747. I'd like to find out which are the best seats on the upper deck from someone who's flown this route on this airline. Thanks.

Having flown this many times, the best seats are 11JK. Exit row. JK is preferred over AC because slightly better access to side and overhead bins and can see through window (AC basically has no view).
The above assumes your flying an a/c before it gets refurbished. NZ is revamping its long haul product, replacing first and business with business only suites (like Virgin Atlantic Upper Class) and also introducing a new premium economy section. The seat maps post this change arent yet available (as far as I know), but should be released soon. The refurbishment starts May (first a/c completed June) and will take about a year.
