US Airways Dividend Miles (Pre-FlightFund Merger) - Upgrading US flight with UA flight #

Is it possible to request an upgrade in advance for a US flight but with a UA flight #? If so, would it clear as it would with a US flight # 3 days prior? This probably has been asked before but the search function is inop. Thanks.

You will not get upgraded 3 days prior to the flight if it has a United number. However, subject to availability, you can get upgraded on the day of departure. Good luck.

Read the sticky thread. There are some people ;) that have had success getting upgraded on the Preferred windows on UA tickets.

That's only for a UA metal flight.

No offense, but if you read my previous message carefully, I clearly stated "on United one-way." Obviously, Preferred upgrades on US Airways, when available, are complimentary.
