A few years ago, when Bethune first came to CO, and they had just screwed the top tier flyers with an overhaul of OnePass, he started open meetings with concerned customers. He dumped Don Valentiine, who had been recruited form SWA to run their marketing, and they became very user friendly. As soon as they restored their business, it became much tougher to access benefits, especially upgrades.Smart CEO's agree to such meetings. Better to see what you are dealing with. Meantime, none of them give a rat's patootie about these programs now. They inflate them, knowing that such expansion will make it less likely that members will get anything. It's kind of like a good restaurant. You can pretty well figure the one that doesn't call to reconfirm is also the one that will make you wait 45 minutes past your reservation time. He's not worried about you no showing, because he already overbooked to cover himself. Case in point. I let my AA Platinum status go, They sent me a form letter, offering to let me buy it for 2005 for $750. It probably costs more than that to fly to the Kellner meeting. So much for mileage runs.

All,

FFOCUS meets with management at least once or twice a year--our "Roachfest" last year was attended by 60 "roaches" and 10 members of senior management. There will be another event later this spring, and you are all invited to attend.

Check out the FFOCUS web site for more.

While we applaud the CO folks for their effort and event, FFOCUS has been at it for a bit longer.....

Imagine what we could do if Randy supported us....

"Roachfest" last fall at PHL was great!!! And I felt like senior management was very interested in hearing what we had to say. They also explained why they were doing certain things in the company. I cann't wait for the spring meeting!!!

Check out the FFOCUS web site for more.I was at last year's RoachFest (GREAT event!). I tried to check out the FFOCUS web site to see if there was more information on the event later this spring, but I couldn't find anything - is it in the members only area? (I never signed up as a FFOCUS member - or if I did, I forgot my sign-on info.)

Yes you have to sign a non-disclosure agreement and name your second born Piney to get access :)

OK Let me clear this up--there are no definite plans yet for our follow up event. We are just in the formative stages of discussion right now, but both sides are working on plans.

When a venue and a date are confirmed we will post it on both the FFOCUS site and we'll make a mention on here (with FT's permission).

As the saying goes, stay tuned......
