Hertz - Question about extra day on a weekly rental

I just picked up a weekly rental from my HLE. I usually rent at the airport so this is the first HLE rental I've done...they just handed me the already-printed contract and keys and I left, which I assumed was the usual procedure for a Gold (yea, I was trying to act blase :)). Anyway, I was looking at my contract and I noticed that an extra day was added to the charges. I guess they printed the contract out a few hours before my actual pickup time, and since it's a full 7 day rental it triggered an extra day charge.

So, is this normal? Obviously I will get it corrected when I drop the car off, but I was wondering if I would actually get charged for the extra day if I hadn't noticed it.

Usually, the starting time specified on the pre-printed contract is one hour after the starting time you specified in your reservation. Some HLE locations, though, set the starting time to whenever they pre-print the contract, which can be significantly before pick-up.

If you don't complain, you will definitely get charged the extra day. Depending on the HLE, the agents might give you some attitude when you complain. However, emails to customer service, in my experience, never fail.

Thanks for the help. When I returned the car I got them to remove the extra day, but didn't have my reservation info. with me so I missed that they charged me a higher weekly rate than they should have. Also, the agent kept hassling me about having to have a paper coupon when I used one of the internet codes. All in all, not a very good first HLE experience.
