Starwood Preferred Guest - How to get SPG hotel specific promo emails

1) Determine where it is that you want to go

2) Make a reservation at one of the hotels in that city

3) Cancel reservation

4) Wait for the hotel-specific emails to flood your inbox

You can also just call the hotel and ask the front desk Manager to get you on their list, no rez required. ;)

You can log into your SPG account and add the hotel to your profile. Then select to receive email offer's from that list of specific hotels. I did that and I have gotten great "direct" promo's that are not available on the SPG website.
