My first time writing to FlyerTalk. I rented a car for 17 days in London Gatwick on August 2nd 2004, and despite letters and emails to Alamo, both here and in the UK my Contiental Onepass has not been credited with the mileage. They say I will be credited yet nothing has happened. Does anyone have similar trouble. I might add that the billing system in the UK is very slow, which has an affect on the exchange rate paid when the US Dollar is sliding againt the Pound.
It appeas Alamo is screwing unsuspecting customers of late. I have used them in the past with no problem but my rental in November in Hawaii
was supposed to get double Southwest credits (1.0 credit) and nothing posted. I called after two weeks and the rep said my credit bounced out because of a name mismatch. Funny because the res was in my name and my FFN. She said she would resubmit. Waited two more weeks new CS rep said she did not know why but it was resubmitted but would e-mail the girl that worked on it. Third call 6 weeks later said the mileage was not there and did not know why. Fourth call 8 weeks later CS man said I did not qualify for the double credit because I was getting a discount from Southwest. Well
Duhhhh. The discount comes with the promo code!!! He talked with a supervisor and came back with OK I will e-mail Southwest and credit your account. 5th call today 12 weeks later got another clueless rep on the phone
and she took my phone number and promised to get to the bottom of this.
still waiting..........
I think my next business trip will be Hertz/Budget/Dollar I don't want to even calculate the wasted time I spent on this.

I think it's a hit or miss when comes to crediting with an Alamo rental. I rented a minivan at HNL and getting miles from them is worse than pulling out a teeth.
After waited patiently for 10 weeks after the rental, I called up Alamo. They can't give me the excuse to wait 6-8 weeks for the miles to post. So, I was curious what kind of excuse they will give me. So, the first CSR told me she will resubmit the miles and to wait for another 60 days. To think that I will sit and wait for another 60 days is ridiculous. NW had told me earlier that they get a "tape" from Alamo everyday, and they would post those miles promptly to the renter's WP account.
Knowing this, if I don't see the miles on my account 2 days after I called, chances are it won't ever post. Anyway, after calling 3 different times over a period of 2 weeks, and getting excuse anything from name mismatch to invalid promotion  , I finally got a nice lady named Rachel. She apologized profusely and said she will submit a retroactive mileage credit form and even gave me a reference # for our conversation. She told me if I don't see my miles within the next 5 days, I should call back and mention this reference #. Something tells me I had spoken to the right person. Sure enough, the very next day the miles posted to my account.
But in the end, there was nothing wrong with my name, promotion code, or missing frequent flyer number. After all, everything was clearly printed on my rental agreement.
Be cautious with this particular location and also their Customer Service folks.

Wrote to Customer Relations at Head Office on Feb 1st again about the missing mileage, and they haven't bothered to reply. Is this a way to treat customer?.
